Utah - CA trip....

We'll be taking the Vibe on its first major roady this week. Specifically, we'll be driving from Provo up I15, to Salt Lake, then I80 to the Bay Area, and 680 down to San Jose. Yes, this does mean driving through the salt flats, and Nevada. But, to keep us from getting bored (no offense to and Nevadans), we have a computer to watch DVDs on.Any advice on where to buy gas / places NOT to stop?
