Went to Milan earlier

Post by Devlop »

I just got back from the drags. My best time was a 14.8 at 94mph. Not too bad. It was about 85 deg out, so I only could push about 8psi. I had an empty tank, but didn't take anything out of the rear end. Plus, I had my bowling ball which I forgot to take out before I left. I didn't feel like taking out the spare and the trim, being lazy. Now, its time to go party.

thanks. I got 4 runs in, but only the last one was at 10psi. With the hot temps, I just couldn't get higher than 8, so I didnt have many chances to run at top boost.

wow....I wonder what you would have been clocked at when you were running at 20 like at the meet. That's ridiculous.

Hey Devlop! nice runs! I am gunna try to go to the track on wednesday for my 1st runs since the new clutch.! How did you like your new clutch at the track? ...What kind of tires do you have...I usally get a mere crappy 2.5 60 ft times , and I need some ideas, I just cant afford DR's or slicks right now.....2.3 are are decent enough for me though....What car were you racing? I could not help but notice that they got a 2.0 on the 60ft and ended with over a second faster , but still only went 94mph like you.....which proves to me how important th 60ft's are!!!...You ought to send your times to MWR..They post all the times for all the 1zz cars...congratualions...you are the 1st VIBE I know of to break into the 14's!!!...I hope to match it on wednesday!...go turbo!!!!!!

I'm lovin my new clutch. I was just getting the hang of launching on sat. I ran on Nitto 555s dropped to about 30 psi. I've been told since then I should have dropped them down to about 15-20psi. I'm thinkin this will definitely help with launching. After I get my new tires, I'll prolly head back up there again. I wanna see how it will run with those and at 10psi.

jeff said earlier that he was only running 10 the day of the meet... anything above 12-15 is extremely dangerous without a highly modified engine... I was just curious as to how high he's gone.

Where are you man?Sorry dude, you remembered wrong. I said I normally run 7, but that day I was running 10. WIth that boost controller, I can change from those two pressures. If I had that injection system like Faultline has, I would be running higher like 12 or so.
