Earlier in the year, I put in for today (Friday) off, so I'd get a head start on the 2 weeks. Got the garage cleaned out and the floor hosed off today. Going to start on putting in some shelves in the garage hopefully tomorrow also. We bought this house and moved into it in September, and hadn't sold our old house till the end of October, so I spent alot of last fall fixing up the old house, not being able to do much to the new house before the snow started falling. This spring has been very busy between mandatory O.T. at work, and family matters, I haven't been able to do much. So yes, this 2 weeks will be put to good use. Heading out on a charter fishing trip next weekend.

Self employed...so I'm working the 4th, but I'll be taking a different day off later in the week.Accomplishes 2 things.I get to work uninterrupted by clients and I get to go have fun without the crowds later.

Everybody seems to head down to the arch for 4th of July. I never did, rather not deal with the traffic.I know IL is pretty dry right now, but usually there so wet I don't see an issue with fireworks. Here on the other hand it's legal and you can normally fart and start a fire here.

Buffalo burgers are pretty good. They're usually a little drier than regular beef burger. Sometimes they mix in beef fat with them to make them not so dry.Really lean animal and pretty tasty. (PETA people eating tasty animals). It's worth a try if they're not charging an arm and a leg for the novelty of it.(sorry about going so off topic on the thread)
