The lsit on their site did NOT list the Vibe.. Most likely, as you said, it's a Toyo/GM crossover..

Yeah....we kind of hit the wrong 'GM' site. The Vibe is a Toyota based airbag system. The 3 GM cars I pensonally really like:Pontiac VibeSaturn VUE redlineCadillac DTSAnyway, rumor is.... that next year Toyota will release the air bag crash data. All airbag systems record crash data. For Toyota...it would just be some cables and software upgrade to the Vetronix CDR to collect the data. Currently only GM, Ford, Isuzu (GM based) have released the data.Logan Diagnostichttp://

Yeah..this was brought up a few months ago when the news agencies had first started crying bloody murder.. I think it eventually escaladed into an argument over the FBI Wiretapping of OnStar, too...

http://www.onstar.com/us_engli...ivacyQ. Was OnStar the company involved in the recent U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals case regarding monitoring of conversations that occur inside vehicles? A. No, OnStar was not involved in this court case in any way. Q. Can the OnStar system be used to monitor vehicle occupant’s conversations without their knowledge? A. The OnStar system does not allow in-vehicle monitoring without notification to vehicle occupants. When a voice connection is made into the vehicle, the occupants will be notified in several ways, including a light flash on the indicator next to the OnStar buttons, a phone ring will be heard, the radio will mute and, depending on equipment, the occupant(s) may see the word "phone" or other indicator on the Driver Information Center or radio display. In addition, OnStar advisors are required to announce their presence immediately once they have established voice communication into a vehicle.

The Onstar stuff is a completely differnet issue. There was some FBI involvement.Onstar is really just a analog cell phone. Analog vs digital due to service coverage. The satilite is used about 1% of the time. (doors unlocked mode).People think they are talking to the satilite when they contact Onstar.....sorry....its a analog cell phone call.Loganhttp://
