I want to eventually get a bunch of bass lights for my interrior. One for the bottom of each side of the dash borad, maybe one for each side under the rear seats and one for each side of the hatch area somewhere. I want a type of bass light that is slender and not too bulky. I also want tem all the be BASS lights.So for my first question, where would I find a cheap light that fits the description of what I am looking for?Second question, if I wanted ot wire them all in a series circuit so I can turn them all on at one time, how would I wire them, and How would I get power to them? Would I run them all the the battery?

Just curious, (removed) is a Bass light? You mean a music responsive neon?StreetGlow has a music interface controller for it's neons, so you can get any standard StreetGlow neon and plug it into that, to get music responsive lights. Available at CC.

IMHO that wiring diagram calls for a lot more work than really necessary.Though I'm not an expert, perhaps that's the best way to do it.

Well I just drew it according to what I thought it would look like so I posted it for others to critique and throw in some of theiur own wisedom

My advice would be start on the driver side, and just go from neon to neon...You shouldn't need to cross over the car like you did in the back seat...As to whether you should run off the battery direct, I can't say for sure, not sure what the power draw on a neon system is...that's a better question for Jahntassa...

Well..it depends on the neons you have. If you go for the system I was suggesting, then you only need to power the music interface module, all the tubes connect to that.Internal neons don't work the same way as the undercarraiges do. They have the transformers built into each tube, so you just need to run 12v to each tube. Which makes it a little easier, you don't need to run them in serial, you just power each one like a seperate tube.StreetGlow does offer music responsive tubes, which you just need to supply 12v power to, but getting the music control module will make them all work together.So yeah, your plan would be correct if you had undercarraige neons (which only use one transformer), but interior neons don't need to be wired like that. Which is cool, and hopefully saves you some stress to know!

So how would I indevidually power each light? I don't have 32 million cigarette outlets

If you don't get the music controller, wire them all in parallel. Cut off the ends with the cigarette lighter attatchment and wire them all together. Black wire to black wire, black/white to black/white. You can then (if you choose) wire that to the back of the cigarette lighter in the dash, since it switches on/off with the vehicle. Or wire it in to one switch.

I would suggest running the power from the battery with an in-line fuse and running it to a switch. this way you can turn them on and off eaily and have it look clean.

With neons and lighting accessories, I usually reccomend tying into a switched circuit. Tying directly to the battery means you need to remember to turn them on and off every time, which becomes tedious over time.Neon tubes don't pull too much power, and shouldn't cause too much strain on a switched circuit. Mwebbs suggestion is very very sound for most things, but I tend to shy away, so that you wouldn't leave the neons turned on after you left the car.

That is true for remembering to turn things off- Such as an amp- But with Neons seeing them on at night could be your reminder. I guess it would just have to be your personal preference.

Yeah...with my underbody neons I have a toggle switch and I hard wired a pilot light into it so the light turns on when the underbody kit is lit. I would probably put in another pilot light for the interrior so it will be easier to notce if they are on or not. I mean, the front neons are going to be right by my feet so it will be kind of hard to forget they are on. Thanks for all the suggestions When the time comes I'll figure something out lol.

Eh, i'd still see it as tedious to have to turn it on every time. The neons in my previous car would turn on with ACC, and off again. Plus a manual switch, so it'd act somewhat like a domelight, Off, automatic, and on whenever I wanted..

hmm, well that's allways a possibility too.
