ok, so my buddy has an 04 gti golf. he's replacing his stock 17's with some bling bling things i imagine in the next month or two. he's gonna give me his rims off his vw to put on mine for free in exchange i help him w/ his little car mod projects. so far we've installed his cai on tues night. wants to put in a shifter, chip, body kit, some interior things... like carbon fiber or something... etc. i took the liberty of snapping a couple pics and photochopping them on my vibe... i think they will look much better than the fugly oem 17's i have now. besides, they will be different! LOL and will have ryan hook me up w/ some center cap overlays and maybe some decals... we'll see. may have to use decalkits.com since they are not "sponsoring" me... *rolling eyes* http://forums.genvibe.com/zero...s.jpg

I wouldn't put them on, but if you do, definitely get some overlays. You're car would be WAY confusing then! TRD badging on Pontiac with VW rims! WHOA!

Is VW's lug pattern the same as our Vibes, 5x100?

actually I think its alittle different, last time i checked Audi and VW had 5x112 which isn't quite even with our 5x100 (also known as 5x114) not sure if they will fit but they might

no they are the same. i've checked it. 5x100 mm. the offset might be a little different, but nothing that won't make it work.

bummer. but i found out this weekend my buddy won't be able to get his wheels this summer. oh well. no big deal. would have been cool but mine are fine for now.
