Ok, so i am a cheapskate, or broke...whichever you prefer. Anyway i just got my Bomz Short Ram Intake (available on eBay) and intalled it. The instructions suck and it takes a little roughness to get the MAF sensor to mount in the tube. but the power gains are decent, gas milage is good and it sounds like a million bucks. No water intake problems. it will run you about $60 USD after shipping and it only comes in blue.

And to whomever else that installs this part, there are something like 5 vacuum hoses on the GT intake, plug them all but the largest one... that one goes on the fitting in the tube. Then find a good place to zip-tie the stuff that was mounted on the airbox. Also you do not need the extra mounting bracket that is included. Just put one of the included rubber bushings over the original mount spot for the airbox and secure the tube mount to that. And you do not need to reset the ECM, just run it easy for about 100 miles.

I bought the same intake off of ebay for about the same price. I think its hard to beat the price. I'm very happy with it and I am planning on getting a K&N filter to replace the cheepy one after about 10,000 miles instead of cleaning it. As far as the install goes I did use the extra bracket (why I don't know, I guess I don't need it), and I routed the vaccuum lines to eachother . It's hard to explain but it comes out by the throttle body, goes through the one-way valve, and gets reconnected to the front of the motor. The BOMZ sr seems to work well. Too bad we are both cheep or we could take one of our cars to a dyno to see the gains!

You need to be careful with the MAF. They're quite fragile.

Yup, a little carb cleaner will do it.On another note, why is this thread in "Forced Induction"?

I just got one of these intakes off eBay. It is a AEM rip off. If you go to DC sports wed sight and look up intakes for are cars the instructions are for this intake. Right down to the brackets it is the exact same intake. I can wait to get this on the car in the morning.

These intakes work really well. The only down side is that the gas mileage will go done, only because you will have the accelerator pinned to the floor.. Now for the dc Header, and I was not going to mod my Vibe.

Has anyone with the 05+ base vibe put this intake on their car? My concern is the drive-by wire
