i will not mind if a admin moves this topic, as i dont know were it really fits in... but i would like to know about lightening the vibe, and i am willing to ask if you guys have any estimates on what some of the parts weight, i noted that a 200 pound weight reduction would result with the same mathmatical in power to weight terms as a 14hp boost, which is significant, but since weight reduction usually involves taking things out of a vehicle, and then reseling them sometimes , i was just curious as what some o fthe parts may weightheres what ive thought of just asking if you guys have any clue what these parts would weight..Rear Seats(both)Metal Hood(just wondering incase some peopel do start making fiberglass parts)Spare TireTool Kits, accessories in back etcStandard WindhshieldAir Conditioning system(im not gonn ado this, but if any of you have a clue how much this weighs it would be interesting to hear)anything else...? side panels, doors and trunk in fiberglass would be nice but nobodies doing it yet, how much would it help anyways 50pounds, or like 150 pounds? just for that alone?

i know its your car but the vibe really isnt a race car. id add more power before i rip out interior parts. stripped cars thats still slow is rice.but a mod that will really help is lightwieght wheels and tire you can get up to 50 pounds off there alone.plus smaller tires=better gearing. i ditched my spare and i didnt notice a difference in 1/4 mile so i put it back
