My son came home from Boy Scouts and told us he is legal to build campfires and light matches and he has a card to prove it: my wife and i laughed our gluteous maximus's off.

I was in cub scouts, and we didn't do @#%$. We made the pinewood derby cars and the rubberband powered airplanes and raced them. (Which I won )Beyond that was boy scouts which I didn't do because I had to do stuff like camp and earn badges. I didn't like doing things when I was younger. Too bad their wasn't a skateboard or bike riding merit badge.

I remember getting the Totin' Chip certification. I had a lot of fun times in Boy Scouts, but going to all the meetings and events became a big pain in the (removed). I do wish that I would have stuck with it longer, becoming an Eagle Scout really is a lot of work and quite an honor.
