Delay in Throttle Response?

Okay, I got this intake off of a 2001 Corolla. And it fit fine, but the thing is that there is a delay in throttle response. Like, if I wanna launch a little hard it'll go for a split second won't do anything, then the throttle kicks in right there. I just wondering if anyone with a WAI or a CAI, auto, had this problem. Because this is really becoming a pain. Thanks for the responses.Inder Singh

That "lag" is from the engine, not the intake...it's normal AFAIK, mine did it sinec day one...

He is right, it takes time for the engine to create enough vacum to suck in all the extra air.

He had the car before the intake and feels a difference. The auto just magnifies the issue because it's always at low rpm before you gas it. Low rpm throttle responce can and often does suffer from an intake. It's a trade for more top end and I'm sure some intakes are better than others. Just removing the intake tube from a GT air box will make it hesitate.
