Well i've had my vibe for 3 weeks now everything is going great. wife gets to drive it most the time, anyway went to work and noticed another car parked close to it, didnt think anything of it until my wife calls me at work. the other car is parked like 2 feet away from the passenger door and there was red paint swaped onto the neptune blue and the center side molding was scraped and paint taken off, it's useless to do a claim and have the insurance go up just for that. should we take the person to small claims for a little scrap, or i'm i over reacting, i guess what ticks me off is people dont care anymore and i guess she was snooty to my wife, what should i do?

Sorry...i know what you are feeling. if you could get some pictures of the cars close together and the damage, you would not have any trouble winning in small claims court. Collecting the judgement from the inconsiderate dirtbag is another thing.Maybe some carefull aplication of touchup paint will help.

Might want to contact your ins. co. to see if you have a deductible for something like that, and call your dealer to see how much to repair, or get a new door edge molding. I'm thinking the moulding may come pre-painted and is applied with adheasive. Does your wife know the person? I know I shouldn't be saying this, but sometimes it is better to get justice w/o getting our legal system involved.

we dont know the person, she dosnt even live in the apartments. my wife said she didnt seem to concerned about any of it, i guess that's what makes me mad, and there was plenty of parking. i dont think i need to pay anything for something i didnt do no matter how little the cost. dont think iv seen anything pre painted for a neptune vibe

Had the same thing happen to the passenger side door- have no idea who did it. I'll just have to learn to live with it.

Maybe,if we put a mini camera in the car ,on the dash.When someone smaghthe door,or hit,the camera see's the id plate,so you can go to the court with film proof.
