I have one question Devlop, what are the brackets like behind the head unit and gauges, i need to install an equalizer under my head unit and am just curious if you used the stock ones or what. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and props on the very nice install and Alpine head unit.

Not too bad, I would have figured out a way to make it all flush mounted, but still, nice job.

Nice way to fill in that space those smaller radio units leave behind. Looks very good.

I bought a sheet of ABS plastic and cut it to cover the hole with a little bit of overlap so that I could glue it to the back side. I bought some plastic weld from the store. The stuff works really well. Before I glued it in, I cut the hole for the stereo and then marked where it should go in the bezel. After that was figured out and glued in, I measured and used a hole saw to cut the holes for the guages. Because of clearance, I had to shave a little more of the bezel along the top for the ring on the guages. After all this, i used a two part plastic repair filler (same uses as what bondo is for metal) and smoothed the edges all around so that it looked like one piece. Then I had it painted.I'm really happy with the way it turned out, and thanks for all the compliments.

Wow, as I am waiting for this pic to download (dialup) I am watching it come slowly but surely. Line by line, and I am saying to myself, what is this going to look like. I begin to see something. Then it all becomes clear and I say to myself, huh, will you look at that! Totally awesome man. Gives me ideas to copy you for future projects, assuming you don't mind ofcourse!

YES, I TRUELY DO! That is abosolutely tits! Great job, man!No pillar gauge pod+turbo+other nieve car driver=OWNED!No one is gonna see that thing comin'I can hear it now, "Look at the stationwagon with rims! He's got an exhaust, too! Let's show him some VTEC!" Meanwhile, in the engine bay of a station wagon, a slight hiss turns into an all out roar as it has it's fill of rice, again! And that was just an appetizer!Once again, great job! I really need to see this bad boy in person! Make sure I'm at the top of the list when you get tired of that "station wagon!"

You done a fine job Devlop. Are you going to bring some of your homemade STB's to the meet this year? If so, I would like one. See you in 6 days....

I might. Not sure, I'm gonna be busy this week cuz I'm gonna try and get some new parts for my drivetrain put in, but we'll see. I don't have any layin around, so I would have to build them. I'll try to keep you informed. I'm more than happy to build you one though, just not sure if I'll be able to get around to it this week.

Man, I miss having a turbo charged car!Looks great man. What paint did you use for the abs sheet? It matches quite well with the center bezel. The paint is wearing off of the cover for my window controls so I want repaint them.

We have one of those chromavision tools at work, so my buddy just used that to match the paint. He had to tinker with it a little, but we got it to match pretty good.
