The wife and I have decided to go test drive the 2005 Vibe GT today. It's monotone abyss w/moon and tunes. I will let you all know how everything is. Just by looking at it the black is actually ok looking on the front end.

What goodies were in the new vibe? Thinking about trading?

It's BS! We went over to the dealer to test drive it, and they had some lame (removed) excuse that they could'nt allow any test drives on it. They claimed it wasn't checked out by the service dept yet and they need to safety inspect it... SIGH.... So it pissed me off for the whole day. Anyway, I'm going camping till Monday starting tomorrow. I will check in w the dealer then.

Just got back from camping with the Vibe. I plan on going to the dealer tomorrow. They better still have it there.

It is true though that the Vibe needs to be checked over before sent out on test drives... specially since techs need to assemple a few things on them anyway as well. The dealership I work at follows that same policy.We however do not ask for a deposit.Hopefully you can test it now that your back. I am sure they got it looked over by now.

So I test drove the '05 Vibe GT (Abyss), and it was alot of fun! First things first, my wife and I will be getting a new GT either '04 or '05 at the end of the summer. Unless the new G6 is the cat's meow. The GT we drove was stickered at a little over $23k, and didn't have the leather. The options it had was moon & tunes, but I really couldn't get the factory sub to rock. It was a little disappointing to say the least. I think it had keyless, no sport package or spoilers. It didn't have the chrome tip, or nets or mats. They changed the seat height I believe (it sat different even after adjustment), along with making the drivers side seat more adjustable. They put in a different style lever to change the seat height (VW Style). For the most part it feels and drives just like the '03-'04 GT, and in the black, blue and silver the '05 Vibe doesn't look at all like a minivan like I was saying. The dealer here in Sun Prairie just got in a bunch of '05 Vibes and I would say there is 10-15 of them in all colors, but only 2 GT style (black & silver). I did take pics with our cell phone, and I will get them up as soon as I can. Be patient.

looks to me like they fixed the whole M&T and 17" wheel issue... That vibe looks to have the 17"s am i mistaken... Have they fixed it?
