question???why any of those cars, what makes them special? is it because they are easier to steal?because if I was going to steal a car it wouldn't be any of the above.

yep. when i had looked into buying a civic a few yrs ago, it would have cost me $160/mo for insurance while an accord would have been $112/mo because at that time teh civic was the #1 stolen vehicle.

yep, it is all about stealing cars for the parts market, not for joy rides. These guys know exactly what they are doing, and what they need.

Saturn?!? It better be for parts. Don't know who would steal one of those intentionally for a joy ride.

There's another list that ranks stolen cars based on the ratio of stolen/on-the-road. From what I remember, the Escalade was tops on that list.It's weird to me why Saturn is so high on the list. I'm not an expert, but I didn't realize that there were enough '95 Saturns to warrant a widespread parts black market. meh.

The reason alot of people want the Honda/Acura vehicles is for the motor. Hondas B16 and B18's vtec are hot ****e. Same with my car, I have the H22a 200hp stock. You can strip them and make a pretty penny.

And about the Saturns. The Saturn engines are also great fo tuners. You can slap a turbo on a cheap car and go like hell. After a while on the saturn motor with turbo, it will blow. Thus a reason they are high theft.
