Anybody have (detailed) instructions or experience on installing the top spoiler? To those that have done it themselves, I like to ask; "Was it difficult? Is it so difficult that should I have the bodyshop install it? Just trying to save a few bucks if you know what I mean.Thanx

I just had a aftermarket body shop do it for me. Mostly because I didn't have easy access to the tools required. The instructions didn't look to difficult when I read through them, but IMO I like to have stuff like that done professionally. I know just enough about cars to get into trouble. I think the shop charged me around $75 or $80 to do it, so it isn't too bad. If you got the tools and the patience you can probably handle it yourself though.

wow only seventy five bucks. the spoiler is easy you drill a couple holes and bolt it down. removing the headliner and most of the interior panels to do that is a pain.normal tools should do it though.

I install these kits at my work, so I know what I'm talking about. First you need to mark where the holes are. There should be five, two on each side, and one in the center. Make sure that the spoiler is placed far enough back that it doesn't hit the rack when that hatch is open. After you figured out where the holes should be, drill them thru the outer and inner panels. Make sure that you move the washer fluid line out of the way for the center hole. OPEN ONLY THE GLASS, DO NOT OPEN THE ENTIRE HATCH, YOU WILL END UP DRILLING THRU THE HATCH ITSELF. Drilling thru both panels will show you where the inner holes should be. If I remember right, the outside holes whould be 1/4". I don't remember what the inside holes should be. If you got plugs for the inside holes, they should be drilled big enough for those, otherwise just make them large enough to get the screw into. A holesaw works best for the inside holes as you don't want to drill thru the outside panel. After all the drilling, prime the holes so they don't rust, then install the spoiler.I hope that was detailed enough.
