How do think a base vibe w/auto would tow this? I have always wanted one of these and I think it would look great behind my satelite vibe. Weight is 750 to 2000lbs depending on model and accsesories. Now to talk the wife into it...

c'mon guys, he didn't ask if you thought those were cool, he just wanted to know if he could tow it. I, personally think that thing is hideous, but that is not the point.the vibe should be able to pull one of those, at least up to 1000 lbs.

1500 pounds actually.I have always liked the old teardrop trailers too -- they'd be great for a quick weekend getaway!

Thanks Altus & Drunken...I was startin to feel a bit rejected...lol. I have never cared what anyone else thought about my vehicles/toys. We tried the motorhome thing a couple years back and it wasn't for us. We have been considering a small tent trailer to pull behind the wifes Ford Sport Trac, but I think a teardrop would be much more interesting, especially if the Vibe could pull it. We could also use it behind the Jeep as an off-road camp trailer by flipping the axle for more ground clearance. I would be most concerned with overheating the Vibes engine and auto transmission while towing in the AZ summer. Here is a picture of a woody for those of you that didn,t like beer can look.

Trust me, the Vibe could handle that with no problem. I still need to get a pic of the Vibe towing the boat. Now that is impressive.

Like the guys said, it should pull it fine. I'd maybe invest in a tranny cooler if you plan on towing it a lot. They arent expensive and help save the auto tranny.

TEARDROPS RULE!!!!!!! I had visited this site which has step by step photos and plans on how to build your own: http://www.desertteardrops.com I never got real serious about building one due to the time it would take to build one, but I think one would be perfect for us.And this site has many links to teardrop trailers.http://www.tinytears.cc/links.htmlHere's some pics of a PT cruiser with a teardrop.: http://www.ptcruiserclub.org/trailer/index.htmAs long as the trailer is in the ballpark of 1500, I wouldn't be too worried. I'd be more worried about a good crosswind....
