All you need to do is drill a hole for the extra hose from the evap obd canister and weld or jb weld a hose barb or pipe to fit the 8mm hose on the side of the intake tube behind the mass air sensor. And your done. If you have a gt intake buy a rubber hose vacuum plug and plug the small vent pipe and it will work on your base vibe.

Yeah, as far as I know the throttle body is at a different angle so the pipe won't fit up to it rright.

Why are you trying to do this anyway? Why not make it easy on yourself and just order the correct CAI? I'm not being critical or anything, just wondering why you're trying to rig things up this way.

Disregard my post about drilling a hole not required, the fitting is already on the pipe. The only difference is the G.T. throttle body is 3" diameter, and the base is 2.75". The tyhphoon uses a 2.75" ram pipe for both applications, you can purchase a stepped hose for this or get a 3"id intake hose and install it over the 2.75" hose on the pipe side. Also required is a vacuum hose plug for the manifold and a 1/4 hose coupler and some clamps. Some additional 8mm or 5/16 vacuum hose is also required. The mtg bracket under the pipe also needs to be longer..took me about 1 hour including removal of stock air box.Why am I doing this ? Why spend another $200. dollars for something that is essentially the same, when for $15.00 it works great. I am going to change it into a full c.a.i. as soon as I find some tubing. Intakes are not rocket science. I really notice a massive difference when I hit lift, the sound is wild, and I also have had no CEL's.

The angles are slightly different this can be overcome by using a longer intake hose. Any truck dealer sells these eg:Mack, Freightliner etc. Just ask for a 3' i.d. hose. Some are available with a bellows in the middle. I work for a Mack dealer.
