Hello,Just took my winter tires of and put my Original Goodyears back on. They don't look or drive too well. My car has 55 000 km on it, (32 k miles.) Are these just crappy tires, or is this just the life expectancy of these tires? THanksJames

Hi jayemright,I believe they're a 45-50,000 tire though rotation and driving charateristics, along with keeping the wheels aligned, will play a large part in how they last.I can't speak for the RS-A's on the Vibe but a family member had them on her Mercury Tracer. They were getting close to the unsafe point about 45 - 50,000 miles. Much before then they would start to rumble as if out of round. Same with her second set, lasted about the same though the treads were a bit better than the first, the rumble was horrible. Now have the Goodyear Eagle GT-HR's on em and they seem fine after about 5,000 miles... Much quieter comparing both new though extended life, well, only time will tell...

I replaced mine around 30k, but they likely oculd have lasted much longer. But one tire was punctured and unrepairable, another had damage that was so deep, it could have resulted in a blowout. So they replaced all 4 (as well as two wheels ), and now I have Kumho Ecsta Supras and LOVE them!I also drove my tires VERY harshly, so if I had been a typical driver, I would've probably gotten another good 5-10k miles outta them.Overall, the Goodyear RS-A seemed like a good tire, though it's wet traction was questionable...but overall, no complaints, unlike Contigate, which seems to be an ever going problem...

I have 31K on my Goodyear RSA and I am going to have to replace them, I rotated them every 5k miles. Think I should have got more out of them.Any suggestions on what to replace them with ?

Depends on what your priority is: life expectancy or performance.Performance, I recommend Kumho. I LOVE these tires! But being an ultra-high-performance tire, my tread wear is gonna be fast...For long life, well, I can't help you there, but I hear other Goodyear tires have good tread life.

If you are looking for long-life tires, I recommend that you look at the new Michelin Harmony. They are rated for about 80K! I put a set on my previous car and was extremely pleased with them. They do cost a bit more, for the 205/55/16, same as my Vibe, I think the Michelins were about $400 for a set.If you want a super sticky, high performance tire, look elsewhere. But my priority was treadlife.
