First post, so hopefully I'll get it right! BTW, big thanks to all who have posted, I have enjoyed reading them.Now that I have something to contribute, I installed this mini-sub a few days ago and have been very pleased. If you are used to 10"/12"'s with hundreds of amps, you will be disappointed.I designed the mounting bracket, wanted to use aluminum, but couldn't find any quickly. So it is just plain steel with holes and black paint. I used the factory threaded nuts in the channels.I couldn't get the sub from Crutchfield (out of stock) at $219, so I ebayed it for a total of $190.I'll be glad to post more details if there is interest.PROS: small size, good boom for the bucksCONS: highly visible, cannot fold one rear seat at a time

Here is a pic of the remote. Controls gain, crossover point and phase. At first I thought the remote was gimicky, but I change the crossover point depending on the source.100 or 120 for low fidelity (FM radio)60 or 80 for CD's.It is just attached with the supplied velcro pads.

that looks very nicely done. if you are worried about high visibility, then why don't you put up the rear cargo cover? that's what i did and you would never know.oh, btw, welcome to genvibe!

Thanks for the welcome!I put the cargo cover up, but just didn't like it sagging.I have thought about putting the cargo net at the seatbacks and getting a lightweight fabric that is acoustically transparent, but not visibly transparent. That way I could disguise the sub somewhat.BTW, in my first post I meant watts not amps. Guess I should proof read better!

I think it looks really good. I just ordered the Infinity Basslink X, but I considered getting the wOOx.Have you thought about putting it vertical and using only one track? Then, you could run the cord straight down and it wouldn't be so visible.I like your idea of using the net as a cover. I always have my cargo net on the back hooks anyway.Good job and welcome to Genvibe!!!

I looked at the Infinity, but it was huge! Although I know it will sound great, I was not willing to give up that much cargo space.Yes, I think that the wOOx could be mounted with one strip of metal running down one seatback. It comes with two styles of mounting brackets, so you would have something to start modifying.Since I will have two car seats installed for quite a while, I just decided to mount it across both seatbacks and keep as high as possible to maintain maximum load floor space.Let us know about the Infinity when you get it installed!

The Basslink would put the wOOx to shame...but it all depends on your own tastes. We generally use the Basslinks for Expeditions and large SUVs.. It'll work well in the Vibe, no doubt.

Would this be a good candidate for a spare tire cargo area install? If the amplifier is integrated into the unit, what does that mean for wiring to other speakers in the car? TIA!

Just reviving an old thread. Is the woox still working well for you? Is there a reason you didn't mount it under the passenger seat? I'm thinking about getting one soon.
