Hi,Can anyone tell me how I could find out the ppg code for the Envy color? I love the my Envy green Vibe and want to have my bike painted to match. The bike maker tells me that all I need is the ppg code. Does anyone know where I could find it?Thanks, amylbux

welcome to genvibe! and you are one of the few owners of the extremely rare envy vibes! you must post some pics and tell us what kind you have, etc. you can find the paint codes for the car in the glove box. there's a sticker in there that gives the paint code.

Any paint codes you find on the car are going to be GM paint codes. To get the PPG code you will have to call a body shop that sells PPG paints and ask them nicely if they would look it up in their book. I'm guessing that the bike shop deals with PPG products for their paints. I'm almost positive that GM's vehicles are painted with DuPont paints and the DuPont code will be different from the PPG code. Sounds like the bike dealer is being lazy and making you call around for them. They should already have access to a PPG paint dealer if they are using PPG paints and their dealer should be able to easily find the code that you need.

I've dealt with PPG regarding industrial paints, and they are lazy (and a bit incompetent). Their industrial paint is cheap and difficult to work with (according to the autobody painter who had to work with the stuff). It might be worthwhile to find someone who uses DuPont, if that's what the Vibe is painted with and you want a match.
