Quote, originally posted by silverawd26 »Also, when you clean the Windshield (inside), use the Armor All Glass Wipes and not Windex. Getting Windex or other Harsh Chemicals on the Dash will dicolour it big time and it will be permenent!!!!!!!!True, although I was lucky and got to mine in time to save the biggest portion of it. I have a couple of tiny spots that you can see if you look realy close though. Simple Green wipes saved me. They even took the shine off of the part that I mistakenly went over with Armor All before realizing it was a mistake. OK, back to the topic at hand... Mothers would be the best. Definitely.

This scratches is made when i was hanging ihe camcorder,it only touch at dash when the car was in mouvement. You say so the plastic is veryyyyyyyyyyyyy fragile to the scratch.I will show this at my cousin,is job is to clean professionnaly, modify, cars like bmw,porsh,...But,i'm scared of his reaction,it will say what you done with a 4 months new car.

Just to throw in my 2 cents, I happen to like to use the Armor All protectant wipes on my dash. They don't make the top portion of the dash too shiny and they shine up the lower part of the dash pretty well. The scratches I see there are on the lower part and you may be able to hide them a bit with the protectant wipes or another dashboard protectant product like the Formula 2001 that I see in that newspaper advertisement for the products.I also strongly recommend Mother's products. I've been using many of them for about 9 years now and I have always liked them. Turtle Wax can be a bit difficult to work with, but it does protect the paint for a longer time than most other products. I still suggest using Mother's though. As for the advertisement, I see that they have discounts on some Mother's products, but they are being sold individually. The Turtle Wax products are being sold as a package. There are some good products in the Turtle Wax package, but I think that the better value would be to get the Mother's products that are on sale.

See, I personally don't like the Vibe to have a shiney dash. I like the matte look. Just a personal opinion. But a bit off subject, how do you like XM in the Vibe? I have been thinking about it.

For the record, the Armor All wipes don't make the dash look anywhere near as shiny as ragingfish's pic of what he used.
