Get a couple of linebackers to hold up the front end, rev it up to about 60mph and drop it. CAUTION- MAY VOID WARRANTY!!! It used to work on a Ford Pinto by lifting the back end of course.

We should try that in an Aveo at the Michigan meet...

It might work if you have a supercharger but other than that I dont think so I have done it on a wet slick street but not for long it spins for about a second then starts to grip.

umm... in an auto... unless you have transmission problems you shouldn't be burning out. you could always go thru a huge puddle and start spinning in there and get your speedo to about 60... and then you should be smoking by the time your out of the puddle... of course the smoke might not be coming from the tires!!

At a stop, pull up on the emergency brake, let off the foot brake, gas it. If the front tires don't start to spin, I wouldn't hold on the gas too long, but it should spin the tires. I like to get them spinning for a few seconds till the smoke starts, then let off the emergency brake and let it take off while still holding the gas down. Don't over-rev it though....

It works good if you are backing out of a driveway. I've gotten my base auto to spin for a good 4 seconds with a backwards roll at about 2 mph. just roll back, kick into drive, and easy the gas so the gears dont grind and then floor it.

Neutral drops or brake stands. But like silver said, I wouldn't recommend neutral drops because it's really hard on the tranny. I save those for old junk cars and rental junk cars.

So far I've spun my tires on my 2003 auto base Vibe by brake torquing, neutral slamming, going in reverse then shifting to D and flooring it, and E-Braking it. So far the best of all of them was the reverse to drive and flooring it while it was still rolling backwards while I had a spare tire on. The spare tire made c-l-o-u-d-s of smoke.I wanna get an AWD car and put 4 spares on and see how much smoke I can get that way, it should be pretty crazy ^^
