I will be painting my rims this weekend. My uncle does autobody repair so he will be painting them and everything else. My car is satellite and i'm doing the rims pearl white. I'll post a pic after I get them done.

Why pearl white? Stock 16's? Hmmm...interesting.

I thought about having my rims painted blue on the inside surfaces only, kinda like those wheels you see on the VW bugs that are color matched. But then I decided to not go with the blue and silver theme and just stuck with all silver.

hmmm...this sounds intresting. I have one question and sorry if it seems naive but is the paint durable? Meaning does it adhere well?

well no it isn't as good as powder coating, but it's getting a 3 stage paint job. My brothers rims are painted on his Fierro, they have little to no chips on them. And besides, it's only costing me $100 well really less than that. I'll post picks monday of them.

i think they look good, but you definitely need to do something w/ the center caps. it's just too plain jane for my tastes. i'd recommend checking out grafxwerks.com and have ryan make up some custom centercap decals. maybe a pontiac arrow or something else.

i didn't want the black on there. I might just put arrows on it in silver or something. My goal is to loose most of the black.

i'd suggest silver if you want to stick w/ white/silver color scheme. and if you can find something in reflective silver, even better!

first, i see where you are going - i like that look, it's not bad. But i do think the centercap looks like it is missing something. I think, and this is only a suggestion, that I would get the silver reflective ponitac arrow of the centercap. something that blends during the day but stands out at night? Just a thought...hey, what about huge whitewall tires? LOL!

yes on the reflective silver arrow...i agree the cap is bland. And heck yeah on the whitewalls!!! LOL

where did the center caps go. not even a logo, they would have looked better with some kind of contrast, perhaps you should get some grey accents or something going on to liven them up, kind of looks like someone who paints there car themselves and just paints over everything including emblems and what not, not to worry, i am sure they can be spiced up a little or if not who cares if you like them, that is the thing right

I saw a white vibe yesterday after work that had white stock wheels. It might be kinda like the opposite of that car merz (i think it was him) posted with the black stock wheels.

Hey, just in case you change your mind about the center caps, here is a set of four for sale on Ebay....probably good to have some spares JIChttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...85355Personnally, I like the painted wheels, but agree that the center caps should have been left unpainted.-Glenn
