New options include new head/thorax side airbags, neck-level heating system, bi-xenon headlamps with cornering light function, and the seven-speed automatic transmission 7G-TRONIC. Powertrains include a 163-hp supercharged four-cylinder, and a more exciting 272-hp V-6 that promises 5.5-second 0-60 mph times. Big news is the potent AMG 55 model, complete with a V-8 engine and complete four-corner performance package. The 5.5L/360-hp V-8 will reportedly rocket the two-seat roadster from 0-60 mph in under five seconds.
