That looks like a pretty sweet car, but I'm sure they don't want to compete with their Prius sales. The MR2 is their fast car, so producing this car would take sales away from their two "showboats". That's probably why they will not start production.

That car looks a hellava lot better than the MR2 ever did. The Prius is a family car this is a sports car. It will take few if any sales away from it.

Is the MR2 faster than the Celica GT-S? I know it's smaller and lighter, but it has the 1ZZ. Guess it would be close. BRING BACK THE SUPRA!I like Dodge's approach with the 300C. It runs on 4 cylinders until it is "told" to go with all 8 cylinders. Supposedly quite a seamless transition. Neat approach. There's a couple of other cars around with the same type system.
