I had my vibe for two days and had to put it in the shop b/c the ABS and Brake lights came on. The dealership thought it might have been a bad speed sensor. After a week in the shop it came to be that the factory had put the wrong ABS computer on my vibe. I was pissed, but what can you do. Anyone else have the same problem? Its hard to believe that GM screwed up on just one.

I tend to believe (not seeing the part) that the ABS computer took a crap instead of being wrong. but you never know. I hope this is your only problem.

Taking a crap is what abs modules like to do... and if the wrong part was installed, heck that happens to every car maker.

Hmm... google search shows that Cambridge makes Corollas too. Nummi and Cambridge (TMMC) both make Corollas.

I did a little research, and sure enough, you were right, TMMC does build the Corolla. Seems from my interpretation TMMC's primary purpose is supplying Canada (every Corolla sold in Canada is built at TMMC), and secondary to that is supplying the US, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. My guess would be, then, that NUMMI is supplemental, and they focus on supplying the US, as well as Mexico and Puerto Rico. That's all how I interpret it. No facts to support it.

Its hard to believe that GM screwed up on just one.Not exactly the same problem, but I had an ABS sensor go bad just a short while after purchasing my Vibe GT, summer 2003. First trip in to the dealer to diagnose and order the correct part (took 10 min). 2nd trip, the dealer could not complete the work because Pontiac shipped the 4wd ABS unit. 3rd trip, they got it right. Nevertheless, it was quite annoying.
