Hi everyone my name is Chris, this is the first time I ever saw this forum. My wife and I have a '03 Vibe 5 speed black(I'll post pics). She has had the car since fall of '02, no mods except for I put in better lights. She decided to lease the car (so I kept the mods simple), but we plan on doing the GM pull ahead program as soon as we can. We want to get the Salsa GT with the double spoilers and SC it.. My wife isn't in to mods but I am, I used to own a CBR954RR till a few months ago, and I used to have a Honda Prelude Si with many mods. And I have a 98 Prelude now that I'm gonna put a JR-SC in soon.I hope to learn alot more about the Vibe here, and make it bad (removed) grocery getter.

Hi and welcome to GenVibe! Glad to hear that you are getting excited about the car and it's potential! However I regret to inform you that there are no plans to SC the Vibe GT any time soon as the compression is too high. Although this engine has been given forced induction before, it requires a lot of internal work to accomplish it. Hope you enjoy the site and decide to stick around!

welcome to genvibe! and yes, unfortunately toyota/gm will not be developing a s/c for the 2zz (gt) engine. there are some places that will do turbos but.... risk of having your engine blow up! or voided your warranty. s/c is for the base models only and there are some options for the 5 spd base models if you look in the forced induction forum. there are several member who've s/c their base and awd vibes/trix and faultline turbo'd his. hope you find lots of great info!

Thanks for the heads up right away on the GT. Guess that is what you're all here for.

Welcome there chris, as for the SC which I want also for my base Vibe... just get one for your base Vibe. It will easily hold its own against a GT.
