What makes the Vibe two tone? Is there a coating applied to the body for the two tone models or are the two tone models equiped with body parts made out of a different material fromt he monotone model? Does anyone have any feedback about whether the section that has the dark color wears better or is more durable than a monotone model? Thanks

Different body molding on the lower part of the car thats grey no matter what colour the rest of the car is. Also called cladding.

The monotone model is the same cladding/moulding as the "two-tone" Vibe but the monochrome models have it painted to match the body color. So, to answer your question. The two-tone would be more durable and wear better as it is raw plastic with nothing to chip off of it.

durability is a good question. if you read thru the warranty issues, you will find many 2 tone vibes having probs w/ discoloration and scratching. i have a mono and not any real issues that i didn't do myself (like slamming into a snow ditch). so the durability for me hasn't been an issue.

Yes cladding two toned or mono does not handle ditch bombing to well.
