Boost gauge

this is a question for ones with boost gauge. How did you get the vacuum line from under the hood to the cabin? Did you drill a new whole?I haven't installed the gauge yet because of this. However, I did install it for a brief moment to see what are the readings...Idle -20 psi... I think is a vacuum.slow acceleration, needles moves to the positive.hard acceleration to near redline, roughly around 7. I will make a digital video and post it.I didnot use the T-connector. I just simple removed the brass hex screew and replace it with a brass fitting with a vacuum connector that came with the Boost Gauge.

There is a wiring harness that runs thru the firewall on the drivers side. You can punch a hole in the rubber gromet and run the line thru that.

Those numbers sound about right. I think my idle is -18. Your boost should be around 7.5... looks good! I think my vacuum line is going thru that grommet. Thats cool your boost gauge came with a special connector. Hows it running on the road? Hows the power?

The power is great... I clocked myself from 0-60 mph using grade school football rushing method... you know.. one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand and so on...I got up to eight-one-thousand.I don't have the boost installed... I just it used to monitor the boost while the car was parked.

OK.. I installed it but the dam vacuum hose is short... Well, it long enough if i can go directly from the firewall to the driver's pillar but i cannot get the vacuum hose thru the dash to the crack between the dash and the pillar. So currently, the gauge is in the little pull out tray on the left of the steering wheel.

I put my boost guage in the A/c vent...the left center one...it still lets the air thru...I like it! ..I came real close to putting the guage in the center of a small stuffed bear , and sitting it one the dash by the pillar....At work they call me "turbo bear"....so I bought some teddybears...and....it just did not work for me in the end..Btw, I used a coat hanger to push the vacuum line to the guage thru the fire wall where the wires go thru.... whatever it takes!

When they installed my supercharger, the instuructions told them to pull the wires through the wire harness on the pass. side behined the glove box.

yeah.. that is for the supercharger wires... You can also put the vacuum wires thru there too but you boost gauge will be limited to the lenght of your vacuum line if you don't get a linker.

Where is the brass hex screw located?if you are standing in the front of the car looking at the supercharger, it is on the right hand side and near the top of the supercharger, you can't missed it. I got my boost guage at Pep Boys for $15 !! Autozone wants $59 for theirs.
