Window tint touch-up question.

I just got my windows tinted, and there's a few small bubbles here and there. Does anyone have any tips on how to get them out? Can I squeegee them out now that the tint is dry, and if so how do I do that? Or, can I "pop" them with a needle and just press the air out? Will it stick to the window if I do that, or would I just be screwing it up? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

if there are small little bubbles, that's normal. make sure you don't roll the windows down and let the car sit in the sunlight so they will evaporate. unless they're huge they should disappear w/i a week.

if they don't disappear, run a credit card or something flat like that over the bubbles towards the edge, that should help some

My advice is just let it sit in the sun for a couple of weeks- if the bubbles dont go away take it back to the place that did it and complain! They should have a warranty.

Are you guys sure they'll disappear? These are air bubbles, not those little water bubbles. I'll leave the windows up for another week just to be sure, but if they don't go away i'm gonna' need some more advice. Thanks again, everyone!

just keep in mind that air and moisture evaporate w/ heat... thus leaving the windows up and in the sun, should make them mostly evap into nothing. i know it took mine about 5 days for them to all disapear, but then again, summertime in alaska is the land of the midnight sun

They should disappear shortly. But if they don't just take it back where you got them done and have them fix it.

Yeah, taking back is not really an option. I took it to a place, and they goofed up and gave me limo tint all the way around. I took it back and they fixed it, but obviously didn't do the *best* job they could have. I'm happy with it overall, but there's some touching up I wanted to do. The windows are dry now, and theres some tiny bubbles I'd like to get rid of, so if you have any other ideas except for the credit card one, I'd be very grateful. One thing I'm worried about though is the tint flaking off if I try to work it a little. Oh, and for other people asking where I got it done, all I'm saying is that it was a small shop that doesn't specialize in tint. I don't want to hurt the guy's business. I'm not out to get him, because he did fix his mistake at no charge. The chances of anyone else going to this guy are pretty slim anyway. I just kinda' stumbled upon him.
