I'm fond of the ride I got out of the progress springs.

Teins will give you a little over 2 inches of drop and they ride great and make the car handle like a go-cart. I have them on my Vibe. As for the Tein coil-overs, I don't know how much drop you can adjust them down to. They are adjustable but are mucho expensive.

I'm on Eibach Sportlines. Love them. I can get 2 fingers between the fender and tire (stock 17's as of now. ) Mine ride almost as good as stock. Wife didn't notice the difference in ride at all! For a 3" drop, you're gonna have to go adjustable coil-overs. I would think it's gonna be quite bouncy as well, but without any experience, I can't say for sure.

CAN you drop this car 3" and still be able to steer it?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

I know there's a few matrices around with drops that low. Plus they have the stock bodykit's, which make it even lower. I, personally, wouldn't wanna go any lower than the S-tech springs, but some like it even lower. Why i don't know, but hey! to each their own! I would say that air-bagging it would be the way to go if ya wanna go lower than 2.2". That way it can be put to an adequate ride heighth for driving, then drop it for any other reason.

If you want a good ride go with a spring set. If you don't mind a little stiffer ride then a set of coilevers are the ticket to get you way low. If you want to drive it every day stay away from air ride. There nice on a weekend show vehical but a pain in the rump if used every day. Never worked on nor seen an air ride system that didn't leak down. Plus they are really high dollar for a good system. Adjustable coil overs can be adjusted down pretty low but the lower you go the harsher the ride gets. Dollar per dollar a spring set is the best way to go. But Coil overs get you lower and aren't that bad on ride quality. If you don't want to spend the money on a full set of adjustable coil overs the sleeve style setup ,like Ground Control or Skunk2's, that go on your factory struts are very affordable and they work. Again you are looking at a ride quality issue over the lowering spring set.

Different strokes, etc., but I think the Vibe looks best at around a 2" to 2-1/2" drop. At that height, the ride is still decent, the arcs of the fenders match the tire radius, you can still clear most parking curbs and driveways and you can get the Vibe jack or a standard hydraulic one under it for service. (and, for those of us of the northern persuasion, you can survive in snow.)

Dropzone makes springs for the Vibe that are a 2.75" drop. I really haven't heard much on the quality of them, but they do have a lifetime warranty.

Hey I just ordered a set from performance peddler. I was able to get Eibach sportline springs for 186 plus shipping. They should drop it at least 2" and from what I hear, Eibach makes a really smooth ride. you can call them at 1-866-399-4215. Ask for Brad and tell him you are from genvibe.com He'll hook you up. You might even get a lower price then I did since I purchased mine off of thier ebay store. They give extra discounts to ppl. from this forum.
