Replacement Cladding..In Canada..Finally

I was supposed to get it changed by the local dealer two weeks ago, but they only ordered one plastic rivet, now they ordered 100 at $5.00ea, anyway will be done tomorrow..parts prices were $2300.00 CDN..and they didn't ***** about the bulletin..A big THANK YOU to GenVibe. I wish they'd repaint my front end..chipped to hell, anyone else having problems with a sandblast effect on their headlights ???

How long have you had your Vibe? I've only had mine for 6 months, but I haven't noticed any damage to the headlights so far...and so far - two small paint chips on the hood.

It's a 03 with 44000km...have lots of chips on hood and front fascia...the paint is crap...I have 3 other vehicles all much older and less chips.

I know of another person up here that has had it partially repainted 4times and only 11000km...he is trying to demand G.M. to return it..I love my car..but the paint issue isn't good.

I like the car, I added a K&N typhoon, cruise control,hood deflector. and vent visors,and tint..and have the moon and tunes..but the paint...or lack of it in a year or two..

yes...it's not that bad..but it's not a very old vehicle...at least tomorrow it'll have the 04 cladding..cost them more than a paint job..rather have front end redone..oh well..I want more power..but can't justify the supercharger pricing..

Ya, I like the 04 cladding better than the 03. It's not a huge difference, but I prefer it. Sounds like it's a bit more resistant too. I actually am trading in my 2 - tone satellite auto 04 for a 04 monotone abyss 5 spd....decided I couldn't live with the auto tranny - I plan to keep the car for 4 or 5 years.

Have you taken your Vibe through any type of automatic or manual spray car wash? I've been told that the chemicals they use in those car wash facilities use a much harsher soap which will degrade the lense.

My Front end cladding and Lights are pitted....41000kms...don`t have a solution for ya though...two years left on the lease..yikes!!..
