I came across some road construction this weekend. The road was all dirt and mud and closed to thru-traffic. However, it was drivable. I couldn't help myself. I drifted in and out of mud puddles and pulled some hand-brake donuts. It was sooooo much fun! It handled remarkably well. The mud looked very nice on the side of my car too. Wish I could find my camera, as it was a Kodak moment.

lol! well, i don't think i'd have tried that in mine... not after lowering it and being used to my tundra for off roading... don't think it'd quite be the same.

Sounds like you had fun! Just remember to hose off underneath really well. You don't want mud to plug any important drain holes, or hold moisture to the chasis!

I've rallied mine on a dirt road a few times. Having the AWD would be cool for that, but it's set up pretty well for some fun as it is. You can kick the rear end out pretty nicely drifting a curve. However, my buddy's Subaru WRX is much better for that sort of thing....for obvious reasons.

The WRX has AWD. So obviously it would be a lot of fun to go mudding in. That's why they keep winning the WRC over and over again.

I have a great story about when we got chased off of Pike's Peak by the park rangers for driving like lunatics. That was when I still had my supercharged Jeep Cherokee, and we were racing. Crazy, crazy afternoon. Criminally stupid, yeah, but whatever.
