I heard on the news this morning on the way out the door that Fremont is under a work stoppage due to the labor dispute out west. Whom ever call this last week was exactly rightHope this doesn't affect our current members that are waiting.

Can someone provide an update as to the status of the NUMMI plant? Is it running again or how long has production been interupted? Has the air freight option been used yet? Some links to local news outlets would be appreciated, so we can bookmark them and keep up on the latest. Thank you.

Hi...Here are some local SF Bay newspapers: San Francisco Chronicle Fremont ArgusThe Argus reported this morning that the NUMMI was supposed to start up again today, using air-freighted parts (at 30x the cost of shipping by ship). You can find that particular story here.I will call my dealer tomorrow to get an update on my car.

I guess they're back to work (on cars at least)... I heard they were flying parts in to keep the plant open. That has to be a major hit to the bottom line.

Nice link - thanks. In addition to the people at NUMMI, there's a lot of other factories that make parts for NUMMI that are on slowdown too.
