TORONTO, April 1 /CNW/ - To highlight the start of the BLUE JAYS 28thseason in the American League GENERAL MOTORS OF CANADA will give away a newcar to one lucky fan. Three qualified semifinalists will be selected from in-stadium balloting conducted in the first three innings, each receiving acar key. The person that successfully unlocks the GM display car will driveaway in their choice of either a 2004 PONTIAC VIBE or a 2005 CHEVROLETEQUINOX. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, the famouscomedian first rose to prominence in the 1970's as an original cast member ofthe popular "Second City TV" series. He has since carved out a successful filmcareer in Hollywood as an actor, writer and director. Rising Canadian R&B star KESHIA CHANTE will offer her renditions of thenational anthems. The native of Ottawa, signed to the BMGCanada/ViK.recordings label, has earned a Canadian Radio Music Award and anUrban Music Award for her top hit, "Shook - The Answer". Her debut album willbe in stores in June. The BLUE JAYS and the Detroit Tigers are scheduled to work out at SkyDomeon Sunday, April 4. The Tigers will take the field at 1:00 pm, while the BlueJays are scheduled to begin their workout at 3:30 pm.
