1969 Honda minitrail 50. A friend of my dads had just opened up the first Honda shop in eastern washington and offered my dad 50% of dealership if he would help him out with servicing the new Hondas. My dad declined the offer and told him that "them Jap bikes will never sell here in the USA". My dad rode Harleys, Indians, Triumps and BSAs. Not many of them on the road anymore, except the Harleys. I have owned countless Japanese bikes since then.

Thanks Carl--I sure do love the thing. But he wants to sell it now. It is a great bike though--sort of a cross between a sport bike and a cruiser. And he's done a lot to it so it looks really sharp. His name on the RSWarrior site is Renzy7--I think there are other pictures of his out there.

I'd love to, but it is in storage and I will be selling it in a few weeks. I don't have anywhere to put it at the new house (no garage.....yet.) It's a Forest Green 1992 Yamaha XJ600. It only has about 9k miles on it. If anyone is interested in the area, I am selling it for $1600. That includes an all black Full Face HJC helmet.

Here is a picture of me and the wife on our 04' Shadow Sabre and another one of me on the right coming back to Colorado from Montana last summer. The motorcycle is the reason the Vibe doesn't have that many miles on it.

I wish I still had it, obviously. When I get another one, it'll definitely be a Kawasaki. Just can't beat 'em as far as I'm concerned. Well, unless I could ever get a "Duck" but around here they're rare and hard to maintain.

dont know what a "duck" is..well i do..the quacking kind..lol..i've always wanted a gixxer or a ninja but it HAS to be in the lime green

Not too bad actaully. You can get a good Monster or a super bike less than 900cc normally less than $10,000 The brand new 848 super bikes are only around $13,000. If you have a lot of money though you could get a new Ducati 1098R for about $40,000.My Monster was only $5,000 + $800 carbon fiber exhaust system that they gave me for $500 Millster, here is my old Ninja. Similar to yours but mine wasn't in the best shape. It was "street fighter" style. It was a lot of fun riding it though:

I haven't owned a dirt bike since the late '70's. I've had several road bikes but no dirt bikes since then, and wanted to get back into the dirt so I thought I'd pick up something not too wild...'03 YZ450FI can't believe the power this thing has.

Well, this is an '01 so it's still the oil consuming, noisy, unreliable American model. I can't wait to get it. It's in Sioux Falls, SD so I need to find the most cost-effective way to get out there and get it.

Haha! Except you forget that this is a small commuter bike. NOT something I want to ride hundreds of miles on the highway. I've found my solution. For an extra hundred dollars, the broker is dropping it at their warehouse on the other side of SD which I can make it to and from in a day. So I'm having them do that then my Dad and I are taking his truck down to pick it up. Problem solved.

Yeah, I imagine it would be kinda fun once you get there. Unfortunately, I think my little Buell would be a bit out of place amongst a group like that. The Lightning's are really nice. Pretty hot bikes. Typical Harley quality problems, of course but oh well. That's actually my thought for the little Blast though mentioning Cafe Racers. I'm thinking ride it for a bit until I decide I want something bigger then "Cafe" it. I've seen a couple that have been done that way and they look pretty sharp. With the way the little thing handles it would be a pretty good racer.

I loooooove Buells. gorgeous bike. i would have bought a 2008 Buell Lightening in the transparent red but I looked at them back in February of 2007 and they said the soonest they could order one and get it in for me would be March of 2008...I wasn't about to wait that long, and pay $6000 more than my Ducati

Thanks Merz! Yeah, I love them too. Always have. Known issues and all. A guy up the street from me had an older Firebolt and I used to practically salivate when he'd go fire it up. Made me a little embarrassed to ride my Ninja past his house. Unfortunately, my old Ninja could have walked ALL over the upcoming Buell. But it's still a Buell and I'll love it!Kev, that's a nice looking bike! Especially for the price! I'm certain you made your money back off of that one.
