Does anyone else have the problem of shocking the living crap out of themselves when they get out of the Vibe and close the door. I know I, for some reason, always build up more static electricity than normal. I know how to stop it, grab the door before you get out of the car and don't let go until you are completely out. But does anyone else have this problem??

YES! I hate it too! It usually happens when it is really cold and dry outside and it depends on what clothes I am wearing. Usually my work clothes which are dockers and polo shirts. When I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt, I have no problems. I don't think it's the car at all, just what I am wearing. I have to use some static guard or something on my work clothes.

YES, I get a serious spark when i close the door, at night it is especially visible, be careful at the gas station too.....

I've been shocked from time to time. Not only have I experienced static upon disembarking from my Vibe, I've even felt it when I'm driving. Occasionally I can feel the hairs on my arm stand on end when I rest it on the cover of the center console.
