What's the little hole for near the gear shift?

What is the little covered hole near the gear shift? It is on the flat surface to upper right side from the gear shift. You can push it in and it pops back to the surface? jdf

(Automatic Transmissions only)If you refer to page 2-32 of your Vibe Manual, it will tell you how to utilize this feature.Basically, if you can't shift out of Park by depressing the Brake, you insert a flat-tipped tool into the slot and move the shift lever into the drive gear you want. I read every manual for everything that I spend my money on no matter what it is. I think manuals are cool cause the salesman doesn't tell you everything and you learn something new everytime. IF YOU DON'T READ IT FOR ANYTHING ELSE, AT LEAST READ IT FOR THE GRADE OF GAS THAT IT NEEDS

And here I though it was a straw holder, to go with the cup holder. Silly me
