What type of Short-Ram intake can I install on my 04 GT?

K&N and AEM do not listen any intakes for the 04 GT. I wanted to get the Typhoon but it is only for the 2003 according to K&N's website. Are there any 04 GT drivers out there that have a short ram installed?

afaik, there isn't a cai or short ram available for the 04 gt. there is a valve in the air box that is diff from the 03, thus the 7 hp loss in power b/w the 2 engines. if you run a search on 04 cai, you will prob find a few threads about this... in more technical terms.

I have an 04 GT and the only available that I have seen is Comso and from what I have been reading on this is that the only difference in the Airpump addition right below the factory airbox where the CAI filter would go and so the manufacturers are putting a slight bend in the tube to bend it away. I maybe be wrong but on the 03's with the cold air you had to plug a line or something but on the 04's you just end up using that line. I don't know I will let you all know when I found out something more on this. later

Anyone try the BOMZ intake on Ebay? Check it out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...75763Im thinking of getting and then getting a K&N Cone and upgrade the hose clamps to something a bit more heavy duty.

One more thing...Is an 03 and 04 Vibe GT the same when it comes to the Short RAM? I like the K&N Typhoon alot. Im thinking of ordering from Crutchfield so I can return it if it doesnt fit. Anyone see an install problem?

There is a CAI out for the 04 Matrix XRS from Injen. You can get it at ptuning. I would it imagine that it'll fit the Vibe GT too (you may want to confirm that with other genvibers). I was planning on getting one after I buy an exhaust.

I ended up ordering the Typhoon from crutchfield. They had a polished one in stock for 189.00. I ordered a set of headphones as well so I could qualify for free shipping and 4 payment installment plan. I cant wait to get the intake. I hope the intall is easy. I have installed intakes on a BMW 328i and a Mustang Cobra. This shouldnt be any different. I'll let you know how I make out.

I just installed the Typhoon on my 2003 base Vibe last night...I love it. Took me just over an hour..really makes a big difference between 2800-4000 rpm...loud and very noticeable difference in power.
