Finished (mostly) my weekend projects (warning: large pics)

ok! thanks to ryan for hooking me up with some great custom graphics for the vibe! first off, i know that many folks don't like the sticker thing, that it's a bit ricey, but being that my license plates do say "rizrkt" on them, i figured i'd be ok. on the rear hatch window, i installed "hope" in korean. they are dark red reflective w/ silver outlines. turned out pretty smooth! then on the rear side windows i have a smaller version on each side. i also installed a genvibe.com windshield banner, also courtesy of ryan! i repainted the engine cover and added vvtl-i overlays finally along with a TRD stb. it took a long time to paint, and the engine cover is still drying in it's final stages. my next plan is to work on my taillights, but will see how that goes. hope you all enjoy!

if anyone wants to know what i did or how i repainted the cover, you can click on my cardomain link and it's page 6. or just click on this link and it should take you to that page. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/388840/6 warning: if you paint your engine cover and want to install the overlays, make sure you wait until it is COMPLETELY dry before attempting to install ANY decals or overlays! I had to go back and fix a mistake. I may end up installing another decal or emblem on the spot i screwed up.

The Vibe is looking sweet there Hope, I can't wait to see it."You just got beat by a wagon" is awsome, so is the stickers of your name in korean on the windows. The engine cover and strut tower bar look good to, the cover looks a lot better now then when it was red in my opinion.Nice work!

I would like to comment that the rest of the engine area seems to need a bath.

I only wish it wasn't raining here all weekend or that I had a garage. I would have cleaned my Vibe. The whole engine area is a mess, so is the outside of the Vibe to. The interior needs a cleaning also but only the driver's side. Maybe that will be a project this coming weekend after work. Will have to get my hands on a camera lol.

well now all you need is a NOS sticker and the rice transformation will be complete. Do the lights stay solid all the time or will they flash with the beat of the music????Sorry. other than the landing lights your car looks amazing.

(removed)! that's ok, you're entitled to your opinion. like i said, was only $6 so not a big deal. they don't blink to the music... and i may just leave them off... but now that you mention it, it does look like a landing strip! lolmy dad said, "why did you make your car look like one of those ghetto junks?" i just laughed.

Great job on the engine cover paint job, Hope! Looks really nice! You've inspired me to create a custom design for my engine cover that I have yet to see on any car, Vibe or otherwise. I may start on it tomorrow if I have time. I have to take the cover off and do some measuring. I'm not going to say what the design is yet, I'll let it be a surprise and I'll be sure to post pics when I complete it! And it will definately NOT be ricey!

Nice job Hope. You have one awesome looking Vibe. I never mentioned it before but that rear wing looks so cool. Kudos for just getting the top wing and not the center one. I think it looks so much better flying solo.

i like the stickers, it's coming along nicely. Remember it's your car and if you like a little rice, then by all means rice away!!!

Hope I still think you need to find an engine cover sticker that says "pour rice here" with an arrow pointing to the oil cap.

I'd have to put "high octane rice only" inside of the gas door.

ok, finally got my calipers painted red. bought the G2 paint system. i must say, very nice indeed! changed out the winter tires/rims to my OEM 17's and dunlops. i won't ever complain about them being loud compared to my studs! had to redo my front door speaker grills. i was missing the passenger door grill and was looking too ghetto. i painted the mesh aluminum to add some color. also got some pics of the front bumper damage... i lost one lower grill so i took the other off. will most likely get some cheapy aluminum mesh from lowe's and redo a "custom" grill. probably for all 4 grill parts too so it won't look gay.

How did you teach it to hover, Hope? Do you suppose that if I remove the lower grilles, will MY Vibe float too? j/k

it's a new mod. intalled a hovercraft engine in the back of the vibe... it's hidden very well.

Hey Hope, those brake calipers look good. I'm thinking about painting mine red as well.Your bumper looks just like mine did a little over a year ago when I slipped into a bank of snow/ice. Cost my insurance a little over $800. Hope you can get it fixed.Later,

ok, got some new decals from ryan... and one that mavrik will appreciate. LOL also, i liked how psychobroker placed his genvibe.com decals on the roof rack rails. i've been playing with the idea of placing mine on my ventvisors, so decided, what the hell!

Yeah, further investigation has revealled that Car domain is blocked by the gob-ments smart filter on the proxy. Can't see it from work so, looks like I will be checkin' you out (um, your car I mean) from the privacy of my own home. I just love that gif, this gave me an excuse to use it!!!
