If anyone has had a problem with the Injen Intake fitting on the Vibe because of the Fog light getting in the way I found that if you cut off about 2" of the tube it fits perfectly on the Vibe.

It has been talked about, but I think your the first to trim some off. Post a pic and show us.

I had often wondered if that was a solution to that problem after hearing everyone talk about how close the filter comes to the fog lights. Evidently, it works . Wow...that would suck to cut off 2" of your CAI and find out it didn't solve anything or worse.....create a new problem.Jim

I had this problem and the solution from someone here was just push the filter farther up the tube. It worked.... No trimming needed.

I remember reading that altering or cutting the intake affects how well it works...and can cause power losses.

Probably won't affect it if you cut off 2 inches. Probably just a warning to people who cut it off and make it a shortram. I know a few people in here have done that, hopefully with no side effects. I had a little problem with mine fitting, a little crooked, but with a little negotiating it went on.

If you push the tube up inside the filter it causes turbulance and dosen't let the air flow smoothly.
