I guess its a program in which you regesiter your credit card and everytime you shop you earn money for college. I am thinking about joining up to help out my younger brothers... anyone heard of this?

It's not a scam. GM participates in it, McDonalds, a lot of companies do. I think they have a web site. I'm not enrolled in it, but my parents considered it when they bought their Trailblazer because on a car purchase you get a major scholarship donation. However, with our GM family discount we couldn't do it.

it sounds good and I was going to do it but it's got some wierd exclusions and takes forever to rack up money, I thought.

I have had the account for a little over two years. It basically gives you a small rebate for purchasing products from its affiliated companies. And GM is one of them. but you have to sign up one month before you purchase the car. Also, they lowered the rebate from $150 to $50 on 1/26/04 and is supposed expire on 3/24/04.

I've been a member for a number of years. Slowly racking up money (mostly gas purchases at Mobil and Exxon). I was turned down for the $150 rebate when I purchased my Vibe - they said that my dealer used a program intended for GM employees for my deal, making me ineligible for the rebate..oh well.It would take years to rack up money, but my kids are still young (7 and 2), so even if I only have $1,000 after 10 more years, it is still free money.

I enrolled a couple years ago so that I would get the $150 or $200 that they offered at the time when I bought my Vibe. I have my credit cards set up so I am earning some from my gas and other purchases.
