I just got my Mille Miglia's installed today with Nitto Neo Gen 225-40ZR/18 tires. They look sweet. Here are some pics. Pic 1:

Buy them at tirerack.com?I'm going to have to buy some tires this spring or summer since my Contis are wearing out. Nick, the ride is a litte rough, but not much more than the stock wheels.James, thanks for the compliments! Buy them at tirerack.com?Geo has the EV-S, which is the same wheel as mine but they have solid spokes. I paid a total of $1400 out the door with those lug nuts and warranties on the tires. About $300 less than Tire Rack. Plus Tire Rack didn't have the tires I wanted. I bought them through my dealership to avoid paying sales tax as well.

HOTTNESS!Nah, no bodykit. That would junk it up in my opninion. They always look so cheap, unless you spend WAY to much money for some plastic, then sometimes they look just o.k.

could you take a picture of the vibe from the front and rear? I would like to see how the 225's fill out the fenderwell.your vibe looks real nice with the new rims and tires

I have been considering removing the decals on the windows except for my GenVibe decals on the side, making it look more like my signature pic that I took last summer. I'm not sure yet, so I am going to leave them for now.scherry2, I will try and get some pics today from the front and rear today and post them. I would like to know who has the widest tires without rubbing. I wanted to go with a 235, but the Neo Gen doesn't come in that size.As far as a body kit goes, the closest I am going to get to that is putting on the roof spoiler that I just bought. I am going to remove the cross bars in the roof rack as well.

yes, i LOVE those wheels!!! would be my next choice instead of the TRD wheels. but stuck w/ the fugly 17" oem ones for now.

I know what you mean. I like the Evo 5's a lot too, but on top of liking the EV-R's a little more, I had to get different wheels than Nick!

BTW, I got my roof spoiler put on yesterday. Here is a pic with the wheels, spoiler and most of the decals removed.

Triton I love it man looks totally cool. I love the EV line from Milla. It definitely sets your ride off just a touch more. Very cool bro. I bet that you could easily run a 235 and not have it rub at all. But I would have to look at them on there first you know. Very cool though. Later

I put my stock 16" back on in the winter so right now, a big brake package is not something I am going to do. I like them a lot. They are APC bulbs.

I also saw on Monster Garage when Jesse James was going off on how people get bigger wheels but run stock brakes. Do you remember what the APC part # for those bulbs was? I think I'm going to replace my turning signal bulb with them too.

It is not that it is exactly unsafe- Especially with just upgrading to 17's or 18's. The reason you would want bigger brakes is because the new wheels are most likely heavier, which with stock brakes will increase your stopping time slightly. When Jesse James mentioned it, he was putting 24in chrome rims on an escalade. That is a huge difference over the stock 17's. For us just upgrading 1 or 2 inches it is not a big deal. Especially because the Vibe was designed to have 17 in wheels as stock. I think the only thing that really needs to be worried about it changing brake pads more frequently

I didn't think going up a couple sizes would be dangerous, but thanks for letting me know. I kind of figured that it would wear a little more on the brake pads.As far as the bulb numbers go, 7440 is what you want for the back up lights and 1157A is what you want for the turn signals. I think that you are going to be fine with the stock brakes. The roling mass of the new rims are going to be so close to the originals that it is not going to affect anything. Going to the brembo rotors and green stuff pads is a good choice and that will benefit you with the wheel tire change. No worrie man I think that you are definitely right, now if you were going to jam some 22's on it then maybe you would need some brakes. later

I don't think that you could put large enough wheels on a vibe to cause brake problems. The wheel weight, even with its moving momentem is neglegeble compared to pulling down a 3000 lb car. Consider how little brake effort would be needed to stop the wheels from spinning if the car was up on jacks. I suspect a good reason to increase the brake capacity would be to take advantage of the extra traction afforded by more tire and perhaps the look. If you don't change your driving habits than your brakes should last almost as long as before.
