Good folks,I have attached a copy of an E-Mail that I recieved the other day about leather seats. I hope I can attach the brochure properly. This is something that I will think about next year since I spent my "Vibe Allotment" this year on CAI and Cat Back.Dear John, Sorry about the delayed response, but we are delighted to see that you are interested in our products and services. We can build you a leather interior for your Vibe for $679.00 + shipping. Two-toning is available for $30.00. We are also now offering Suede inserts in any of 10+ colors for an additional $100.00. Shipping is generally about $25.00 per kit. These covers are OEM spec and are made to install in place of your factory seat covers. Once installed they will look and fit just like a factory leather interior. We sell an installation kit that includes the hog-ring pliers, hog-rings, and the super-adhesive upholstery glue that you will need for the door inserts for $35.00. Be sure and visit our website at
http://www.leatherseats.com for in depth information on the product, applications, colors, and even installation procedures. I will attach a e-brochure for our Vibe pattern to this email, let us know what you think. To speak to a sales rep or to order a leather interior for your vehicle please call toll FREE 1-866-NEW-SEAT (1-866-639-7328). We look forward to doing business with you soon.Regards,Erichttp://

I saw avibe by me with 2 toned leather seats. White vibe with white and blue leather seats. Looked really good. Would love to do that to mine.

Yikes! Looking at those install directions makes me think, "I'd better let a professional do this!". I don't have the patience (nor the available time) to do this correct. Anybody have any idea how much a "professional" would charge to install this kind of thing?

If and when I go to these, I shouldn't have any problem getting them installed. My wife works for the Lear Corporation which makes the seats for the Cadillac CTS, SRX and the new Seville. She has all kinds of experience tearing down and rebuilding seats. She is awesome at skinning seats and knows all the tricks of the trade.

I would imagine about $100 CAD for what I get done for customers through a sublet to a guy who sews, repairs and replaces seat covers, soft tops on boats and cars and all that. The price could be very different for you... we don't know what places like that in your area charge. But at least $100...

here, when i originally looked into it, was $350-500 for install. when i had my tundra done, cost me $350 but i got a discount cause the guy was a client of mine.

Now I would probably do the fronts first and then I could wait to do the backs, seeing as you cannot see my back seats with the 3 child seats in them. I have 5 years before 2 of my kids can leave the child seats behind...so I'll have at least two seats covered up until then.

the only prob w/ installing yourself is that it is time consuming. i did one seat at a time. took me about 4 hours for the first since i wasn't sure what i was doing. do you have side airbags?

k so I know this is an old post, but it's better than me starting another one right?I have an 03 base... leather was not an option then, (not that my mom would have gotten it ) but from other threads I gather that in later models it became an option? If so, is there a part # easily available, and would it be easy, relatively speaking, to install those seats? If not, I can always use the same companies others have used, like leatherseats.com...p.s.- I'd rather get whole new seats, as mine are quite worn out

Would be way cheaper to just pull some out of a wrecked Vibe. Almost a grand is A LOT to spend on an 8-9 year old car.

That's true. Not too sure what I'm gonna end up doing but it may be a little hard to get the seats from a scrapyard. ATM I'm not worried about how much things cost, as I really can't afford anything right now, but doin some research... and the vibe's my first car, so no amount is too much anyway

I got a quote for Katzkin leather seats for a Mazda 5 (six seats and I think four of them have movable arm rests) and IIRC it was about $1300 installed. Was to be single color with contrasting piping and perforated inserts.
