Polk Momo makes some good amps if you are trying to keep the same brand in all your stuff. My friend has one pushing 2 10" polkmomos and it sounds great. I have a Alpine V12 pushing my Polks and the Alpines are good amps.

I think i might get the Polk MOMO C300.2, but not sure if it would push them both.

You'd want to get the Monoblock version, the C500.1. Here's why.The RMS rating on the subs is 400watts. The 300.2 only puts out 150x2 (you can't bridge two 4 ohm speakers into a 2 channel amp..not without losing a lot of power, or blowing the amp.)The C500.1 puts out 500wx1 at 2 Ohm, so if you hook up both speakers in parallel (both positive go to the positive on the amp, both negative go to the negative on the amp), that's where you'll get your best power. You want the RMS on the amp to be at least as much as the subs, if not a little more. If you used the 300.2 on the subs, chances are you could blow them easily by having them underpowered..

Well got a question. I actually might only keep one sub. Would that C300.2 be able to push one???? Long story, but some guy just offered more than what i just paid for one.

Also, how is that Lighting Audio??? The only prob is i really don't feel like throwing out $500 on a amp

I have the Lightning Audio B2.350.1...it's rated at 350 watts at 2 Ohms, and I would've been better off getting the Bazooka 300.1 for around $140 at Circuit City. The 300.2 would be better with one sub than two, but it's still not as good as having a monoblock amp. I think the specs on the Polk site said if you bridge the 300.2 to one sub, it can put out 550watts x 1 sub. So yeah, that should work fine.Anyway..back to the Lightning stuff..depends on which one, if you get the Bolt series like I have..it wouldn't do very well with the Polk. Once I get the money, i'll probably switch it out with either the Polk C500.1 (The rest of my system is Polk, though I have a JL 4 channel amp), the Bazooka 500.1, or the MTX 821D, with two Momo 10" Subs..Edit: If that didn't make sense, ask again, I usually make more sense during the daytime!

i have a rockford fosgate 2-ch amp for my sub. seems to be a great amp! from what i hear the lightning audio isn't as reliable... so i would stick w/ the polkmomo or a rockford. i also have a pioneer 4 ch pushing my doors, and it seems to be doing well. if you remember, a few months ago my amp blew. from speculation, it was due to cold weather, wiring not being set up the best, and underpower.

There isn't much out that'll match a w3, including the Polk MOMOs..As far as amps go...I haven't had issues with my LA amp, other than personally wanting more power. The LA amp and my dual Sony subs works pretty great. As for Rockfords..i've said it elsewhere... I'd steer away from any of the newer Rockford stuff, anything newer than around 1995 is much less quality than the older. OLDER Rockford amps are still some of the best out there, but their quality has gone down in recent years as the competition has gotten fierce. Amps to look for in my opinion:-Kicker-MTX-Audiobahn-JLThose're just the "mainstream consumer" stuff..i'm sure there're plenty other street brands that do just as well.Stuff to stay away from nowadays:-Rockford-Coustic-SonyYes, Sony. Their P5 subs are great as punchy bass, low power subs, but their amps are not quite as powerful as they'd like you to think. Same thing goes for the latest Rockfords.Again, this is all my opinion, though i've leaned heavily on other opinions, reviews, and what i've heard installed at the shop I work at.

What your opinion on Orion???? I hear they are pretty heavy duty.

That one i'm honestly not sure about... I'll ask the other guys at work tomorrow what they've heard about it. I've heard of/seen Orion amps, but haven't really looked into 'em.

Orion amps have been good in the past. They use to put one out called the beast amp and it pushed more then most amps did at the time, this was about 2 yrs ago. They were used in a lot of comps. If you can get a good deal on one then I would say go for it. But you really don't see many of them out any more.

I got everything installed this evening and it is crazy. It hits so hard that it takes your breath away. I can't believe one 12" can ever hit that hard. i'll post pics tomorrow. '
