if your camber is off with a hotchkis drop your aligment shop did a terrible job. you should be able to get some cam/crash bolts from a good shop or the dealer (toyota if not gm) for 5 bucks a pop.if that fails nopionline sells adjustable camber bolts for the celica that should work.

Don't get the camber kit...You need to wait about 3-4 weeks after installing the springs before doing your alignment. This is important to allow the springs to settle.Besides, installing the springs should just affect toe-in. Camber should be okay. I installed the Tein springs in my car, and my camber was right in the middle of spec. Many people on this forum have installed Teins, and I don't think anyone has had camber problems.

How about a compromise: Verify with the seller that you can return the eccentric bolts for a zero to small restocking charge if the package is unopened. Buy them, show them to the installer and tell him he can't install them until he demonstrates that they are needed. (it's a 10 min. job to just re 'n re the four bolts, so you wouldn't be risking big bucks for same.)

Have you tried going to a different installer?Plus for your dad have look here at all the vibe lowered without Camber correction bolts. I had almost 15000 miles on my other tires and there were showing no signs of wear because of camber..they just sucked bad in the snow

I have Tein spring. I installed them myself, let them settle 2-3 weeks, I when to the dealer and have my car alligned. No camber kit at all and noone tells me I need one.BTW, we are several people here with a Tein drop and none have a camber kit.

Check out this site, the camber kit is very cheap. From the sounds of it most ppeople have not needed it but I would question the methods used to determine the need. A good tire shop can show you ont he proper alignment hoist to what degree the camber is out. A toe change is unlikely since the tie rod ends should not be disconnected during the install.

The reason the toe setting often changes is that most cars are designed to steer slightly out of the corner as the body leans in a turn ("roll understeer"). This means that as the suspension is compressed, the wheel toes out. Dropping the car a couple of inches has the same effect, the front wheels toe out.

Camber is an issue on these cars when dropped. After my install i have a pulling problem. It changes with acceleration/deceleration telling me that one wheel is off. Pulling is constant and is increased with braking. Alignment was perfect before. Instantly changed after install.

Why do you think it is your camber? You definitely need an alignment after installing springs. History has shown that toe-in is usually oos. From all the posts I have seen here, nobody has had a camber issue, no matter whether they dropped with Eibach, TRD, Hotchkis or Tein.My personal experience is that the car felt "strange" after the spring install. Subsequent alignment check showed that toe-in was out-of-spec on both of the front wheels. I didn't really understand why, but Madbill's post seems to explain it well to me.Anyway, get an alignment done. If it really is your camber off, please post your results for us.
