XM Mod Question

If I wanted to avoid multiple subscriptions, would I be able to take advantage of any of the XM hardware already in my 04 Vibe to drop in a SkyFi and use that without an FM transmitter? It would not matter whether I could still use the factory head unit to control the stations.Thanks.

XM hardware in the car from the factory is not interconnectable with SkyFi, Roady, or other external XM hardware.

To add to that, each piece of XM hardware needs a seperate subscription.. But, you can call XM if you have them on the same account, and go with the family plan, where the first sub is 9.99, and the next four are 6.99 each.

The only way to connect the Delphi equipment, is through Fm modulation. You can use the hard wire or the wireless, but that is the only two ways. Now, hardwiring it isn't hard and it delivers pretty good sound too. It is better than FM ,but not quite CD.
