Everyone get their network adapters ready...If there's a meet where I can actually get to, you can bet i'll set up a server in the back of my Vibe, so we can have a GT4 LAN party. You KNOW that'd make news somewhere!

What course is that in the pic? Its kind of dark but almost looks like The High Speed Ring? That course was my fav. I raced it all the time in GT 1. Before I was good at the game, I bought like a nissan, tuned it up as I earned money there in the Spot Race, sold it for a Camero, tuned it up and continued to win that $500 for pole position and $1000 first in the race until I sold the Camero with enough to buy the Viper... I raced that track over 80 times to do that lol... My record in GT1 on that course is like 41second lap time in the Dodge Concept Car.

If the Vibe does have a few engine mods, it will probably be a chip, maybe a port polish, muffler system, racing clutch/flywheel. Would be surprised if there was a turbo since they keep everything very accurate.

You can turbocharge every car in the game, except for a few of the factory-prepared race cars. I have my Suzuki Escudo over 1800 hp. Got it up to 298 MPH on the test track. By GT3 standards, you should be able to get the Vibe to about 400-500 hp, but it will be hard to control. I have a couple high-horsepower front-drive cars in GT3 and if you even look at the accelerator button in a curve they understeer right into a wall.

Not every car can be turboed. There are quite a few that its N/A. But true there are quite a few that can, lots of the imports. I have over 150 cars and not all of them could take a turbo, I tried. Its the first thing I do with new cars. At best some only have Stage 1 Turbo, now stage 4 and we are talking close to 1000 or more HP! I have that Escudo as well and its to fast for the track other then the Test Course. My fav car is the Mazda 787. We'll just have to wait and see what they end up letting us do on the Vibe. A turboed one would be sweet.

I think you'll be able to turbo it and do all kinds of other mods. I wonder if they are going to include the 6-speed in the GT? It seems there is more accuracy in the Japanese cars then the American ones in GT3.

well I would think so if the GT model is included. They keep cars as accurate as possible including the transmission. There are a few 6 speed cars in GT3, GT2 and GT1. I'm curious if there will be Lift at the red line.

depending on the vehicle and the modifications you do to it, the redline changes. But the Vibe GT Lift hits around 7000rpm in real life.

Mine hits lift around 6000. Redline is 8200.

Your probably right, I don't own a GT, have only driven a few of them and didn't hit lift all that often but its more mid 6000rpm right? cause it is a high end rpm power band right?

the powerband, which is on all vibes, starts somewhere around 4200lift, which i know nothing about, starts at a different point

Right. At about 6000-6200 the larger cam kicks in. I don't know if they will incorprate that into the game tho. It would be neat if they did, but I think non-Vibe-owners would think the game was screwed up. I know almost everyone is surprised to find out my car has a 6 speed in it and lift has scared the heck out of a couple of them.

I had a car coming up fast on me yesterday that I knew wanted to pass me and get into my lane so into 2nd I went and floored it. Its a nice sweet spot and I left him behind till we got the lights and I turned heh.

Your on. But one rule, cars must all have the same parts... only fine tuning allowed. Full modification on all or partial even if it requires removing some of your own parts for the race That way the win is by skill. Not by "Well you won cause my Vibe is 215HP and yours is like 600HP"
