the extended warranty you buy at the dealer is ussually done through a form of an insurance company. The dealer wanted around 2000 for theirs. I got mine through my insurance company for $50. every six months. GEICO. It is alot cheaper and just as good.

Every dealer is different with who they work through as far as extended warranty. Make sure your cheap priced one actually covers things that could fail. It isn't really an insurance claim, just companies that pays a dealership to repair your vehicle for free/with a deductable to you. That $50 a deductable? Cause thats a good price... if it is full coverage.

Sweet, Auto Shield and Drive Assured are who we work with the most and sell Drive Assured and GMPP... though oddly enough since we sell so little of GM's GMPP... they (GM) are having our customers sign release forms saying they choose an aftermarket warranty so that if in some case the extended warranty doesn't cover a repair, they (customer) can not come back to GM and look for some good will. Sore losers... (GM)Quite a few of our customers have a zero deductable, and maybe $50 if repaired at a shop other then the one the contract was sold at.

Don't remember. Was absorbed into the price of the car, but the whole transaction was a fair bargain.

On my end, the rebate would've cost me more.0% cost me less in the end, even with the warranty absorbed.

I have purchased many warranties and found that usually the dealer is the best way to go to get the extended plans and now some company that send you a fliar through the mail... I have heard of many companies ripping customers off or going out of business and then the warranty is null or void. NEVER buy Fada Guard (Ryan Warranry) They SUCK! They change your policy on you without notification, take something off the covered list without telling you, hardly cover anything to begin with under their "full coverage" policy.

Wow, $50 every 6 months, you have to have the car for 20 years to make the dealer plan a better deal. Got to figure if you have the car for 20 years, you probably didn't need the extended warranty. $100 a year is some pretty inexpensive peace of mind. Good deal!

Check GEico BEfore 11 months or 11000 miles. You dont have to get it at the time of purchase
