My dealer just got back to me about the price of the SC. $7500.00 CD.What a joke. If I can get it for 2300-2500 in the states, I might as well drive down and buy it.Just thought I would let you all know.

My dealer quoted my at $2995 from the dealership, but she told me there's another distributer that they can get it for, and from them (Still a GM product) it would run between $1000 to $1500. Once I get my engine paid off that'll be the next thing I add to my car

So the most basic Vibe with a SC will cost 30K!!

I asked the dealership again and they dropped the price down to $5995. "Oh my mistake..." he said

The GM SC shouldn't even be THAT much. The GM Retail on the SC (From my understanding, based on the GM Parts #) should be $2995The complete new engine (the 130 hp VVT-i) retails at $7300

What parts showed me a while ago when this was first announced was at estimated $3000 canadian. About $2000 for the SC and 12 hour labour to install. Unfortunatly they misplaced the information they showed me which also had the part numbers...

Well, that's in Canadian currency too, which is different.Anyone know how much a SC for the Vibe would be in Canada? (Preferably translated into US Dollars, so we would be able to compare the two country's prices on it)

The quote I got a few months ago was $CAN 5,995 or ~ $US 4,466 at todays closing exchange rate, a mere 50% more than US retail!

Don't forget to add gst on top of that price, thats freakin ridiculous, almost worth going custom supercharger it might be cheaper....on a side note jrdiesel you guys adding more to the line up at your website especially for the vibe? Seems like a cool site and only 3 hours or less away.

The Toyota parts dealers are a lot more competitive than GM, and the rock bottom, screaming deal for a TRD SC is $2490 shipped. The Piggy-back ECU alone costs $875. If you can get it for under $1500, sell the wife, mortgage the dog and get it now, or at least let the rest of us in on this “other distributor” that “she” told you about.

My local dealer just sent me a coupon book. It includes a "20% off the price of any over-the-counter parts". I called (without mentioning the coupon) and asked if I could buy a Vibe supercharger kit over the counter and was told yes, but of course I would have to install the SC myself. He quoted $2995 for it.So... If I hadn't just drained my savings account to pay off my house, I could have gotten a SC kit for $2995 - 20% = $2396 + tax.I've got til the end of the month to use the coupon, so I may still get one!KSNeptune

I checked through the Magnaflow catalog and found the cat-back, and the strut tower bar from Vibrant. I ordered them that day. It's not so much that we don't carry it, as much as it's nobody makes stuff for us. Matrix, Matrix, Matrix, it's always about them.

or just trade the vibe in for the trix! lolthanks, GM for jacking up the prices even more! and what about this being the first attempt of theirs to try out the tuner market? they're not doing a very good job of it! only 1 body kit available and they want $1890 for it!!!! finally got the S/C out for the base auto only... and still dragging their feet on the manual s/c...

yes, i agree. gm really let a lot of people down with not coming up with better a/m and performance parts.. look at the trix! they have several body kits and all kinds of performance parts out there! we're still stuck with nothing! except for what we can take from the trix.

I still love my Vibe even if the company that makes it is an (removed). And if I had bought a Matrix, I would not have gotten an employee discount... Toyota can chip and install a SC on our Vibes. ECU can be very easily reprogrammed. There are body kits out there for the Vibe, we just got to find them... but those Matrix ones are sweet... *drool*

i'm wondering if i move the fogs over, if maybe the trix body kits would fit on the vibe. maybe make some minor adjustments on the rear fascia too...

mavrik if you find a body kit let us know.but i doubt theres another one. theres like 3 matrix eurotails, none for the vibe. but lets get back on topic.

Well I am going to work on seeing how a Matrix one might be modified to fit the Vibe... and I know were at least one Vibe body kit is sold but I'll have to check the price yet. With all the custom mods done around here and in Toronto, I am sure there is someone out there that could make one for me... just gotta find someone. And I am really serious about letting Toyota put a SC on my Vibe, but not until my warranty is up... Dec 29,06...

I want to put a lot of work in my Vibe... could very well have a S/C in there by then. And a body kit...

I'll find out. McKenzie Motors (Pontiac/GM dealer) has outfitted Vibes with S/C's as a dealer option, and I'm sure they can give me a price quote on install/labor.

The dealer in San Jose wanted $2995 for S/C and $670 for labor. They were willingly to give 10% off on teh S/C so the S/C would be $2695 plus tax.

My good buddy's father owns a pontiac dealership. When I asked his father about the SC he gave me a price of around $1500 for the base vibe auto S/C and $60/hour for labor....However, a few days later, I talked to the parts manager that was working at the time at the same dealership and he looked at me like I was crazy when I asked how much the S/C was for base vibe. He looked it up and said it wasnt coming out until June and the price would be $2995...I don't know who to believe.

Well your friend's dad might have priced it out at his cost for you which the parts guy would not have. And don't bother waiting till june, the manual base Vibe Supercharger and auto base Vibe supercharger is out already, read the LATEST NEWS forum for the part numbers and listed price.

Think you're getting jacked up on the price of the SC kit? check this out Canadian dollars, currently 0.757 $US, but still...Response from a pal I asked to check out the MT SC:Hi Garry.> GM has at last come up with a number for the supercharger kit for the> manual> transmission Vibe. Could you run it by your contact to see if the price is> as ridiculous as for the auto version? MT SC: 12499105 Hi Bill. It is not yet priced by> SPO. Had been informed that it was near $5000 CAD for the auto one. And I also checked with my parts department and was told the manual S/C price was not out yet either but I will keep pestering them for it lol. Yeah you americans complain about the price... we might just be happy canadians to get it for that price.

I checked out GM Performance Parts website for S/C manual... Nothing there! GM seems to be REALLY unorganized! Between what we hear on the forums, from GM, and from the dealers, who knows who to believe! seems to me that the original $2000 installed was reasonable.

Yea, both the GM performance parts site and accessories site still show SC for auto only. I called my local parts department with the "new" manual SC part number and they could come up with nothing. Don't hold your breath, it took them 6 months to update thier sites that the SC was for auto only. Sounds like typical GM.

Talked to pontiac dealership owner and was told GM is charging way too much and there are other companys developing S/C'ers for Vibe's that will cost much less. However, they won't be out until late this year.... bummer

even if Matrix and Vibe's ECU were different, it doesn't mean supercharger's add-on ECU piggyback is different for Matrix and Vibe. I wonder !!wonder what the difference in ECU is? why would GM and Toyota use a different ECU? may be TRD uses same ECU piggyback for both? is the internal TRD part number the same for both Vibe and Matrix. should call TRD and see if they give same part number for both Vibe and Matrix.

Good point Hope! Hey, someone should check with the Unichip folks. They would have to know if there's any difference of consequence, otherwise they couldn't offer the same piggyback device for both. At the least, perhaps a custom unit from them would adapt for any differences as well as leaning out the SC fuel calibration for maximum power, as per a previous thread.
